Focus on the Text

He has
a private persona
Lets me see him
in small
distant fractures
of scenery
Like a preview
to the novel
of him
He arouses
my sense
of wonder
the supple
taste of
soft skin
the smell of
passionate intimacy
the sound of
beating hearts
Never touched
in our youth
I fear the baggage
of our lives
weighs heavy
Choking the life
of our future
We keep our focus
on the present
The text tingles
and draws
us near
